Habitat: sandy streams,flows in running soft water.also in dense forest shady areas.

Description :Rhizomatous plants, 2-3x0.9-1.3 cm, hyaline-light brownish. Leaves 10–26 cm long; Petioles to 6-14cm long, rounded at lower side, hyaline at the base, brownish green above, sheathed at base. Lamina elliptic-lanceolate, 4-15 x 1-4 cm, broadly lanceolate, entire or undulate, acute, brownish green above, purplish green below. Stalk 4-7 cmm long, tube 4-6 cmm, linb 12-15 cmm Peduncle to 3cm long, white. Spathe to 15–20 cm long; kettle to 4–5 cm long, lower part 0.6cm wide, white or light pinkish coloured; stipular sheath 4-8 cm long, 2-keeled, purplish. upper tube to 1.5– 2x0.4–0.5 cm; spathe margins forming a tube pressed to each other, but not fused; limb ca 11x9 cm, collar present at base of the limb, bears cream background with irregular purple spots, absence of transverse ridges inside and denticulation on margins of the limb, limb purple coloured and warty within, purplish green on the outside, spirally twisted 1 to 2 times. Spadix to 4–6 cm long; female portion to 0.5 x 0.4 cm, female flowers 7 in number; sessile stigma; ovary with 11–15 ovules; sterile naked interstice 3–4 cm long; male portion to 0.32cm long; male portion 0.5 x 0.3 cm, male flower 0.25 x 0.5 mm, terminal sterile 2 x 1.2 mm,middle sterile 6.2 cm long,; female portion 5 x 3 mm.
